• Docker for Developers: Understanding the Core Concepts (Dan Wahlin) - This is a very nice and detailled article that explains what is Docker where it comes from and how it works.

• .NET Conf 2023 (Mehul Harry) - Net cof is coming reverse the dates! And for those if you who knows .NET there is a call for paper here is your chance the share your knowledge!

• Power Platform as Connected Service for Visual Studio is Generally Available | Power Platform Developer Blog (Marcel Ferreira) - Its now GA! This is an excellent news.Using this its now easier thann ever to transform our APIs to power platform connector and empower everyone not fust the developers.

• Beyond the Hype: WebAssembly – from the browser to beyond (Colin Eberhardt) - Episode of a new podcast for me! They got me with WebAssembly and I will defenetly listen to more episodes.

• Kevin LaBranche: Leading teams through DevOps - Episode 251 (Azure DevOps Podcast) - Yes! DevOps is not a thing you implement in 2-3 weeks, it takes time. Great episode that highlight even more that it's not about the tech but the way you do things...

• How Cloudflare Broke My Build and How I Fixed It (Giorgi Dalakishvili) - Wow! That was a hard one. Like searching for a needle in a haystack. Those stories are incredibly useful as they teach how to investigate issues. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Cloud

• Create an App Service for Containers with Bicep (Sam Cogan) - This is a nice tutorial that shares the minimum requirements and the commands to create your next app.

• Securely connect to your Azure Linux Virtual Machine with Tailscale SSH (Paul Yu) - A very complete post that follows one of the many tutorials available in the Microsoft opensource repo. Very well detailed and explained.

Programming

• 18 Useful GitHub Repositories Every Developer Should Bookmark (Madza) - Nice list of great repositories indeed.

• Blazor Binding, Events and Parameters (Michael Washington) - A very complete tutorial that explains it all. The complexity of the example is incremental, meaning that if it's your first contact with Blazor the bites will be just the right size all along.

• Fluent UI Insights EP2: Styling (Paul Gildea) - Really interesting second episode of Fluent UI Insights. A series of video that explains the design decisions.

• Visual Studio Code's New Editor Sticky Scroll Feature - Never Get Lost In The Code Again! (Dotnetsafer) - At first, I thought this feature was like feeze pane and didn't understand the hype about it. But it is not! It is some kind of smart pane auto-scrolling. The frozen section display when the current scope is opened. It looks very useful

• Windows Package Manager 1.3 (Demitrius Nelon) - Very happy to see Winget getting more apps and new features.

Podcasts

• 316: Hosting Websites & Web Apps for Free (Merge Conflict) - Who doesn't like getting a free website? Learn more about the option available for you in this episode. And also, why you shouldn't operate your drone on water.
• Why the buddy system works... at work (Modern Mentor) - Love the idea of a buddy system. Simple and effective.
• Épisode 19 - Les Olympiques d'Hitler (Les Pires Moments de l'Histoire) - (In French) I love this podcast you learn stuff and for sure you will at least smile if not laugh.
• Daniel Roth: Blazor Futures - Episode 204 (Azure DevOps Podcast) - Perfect episode to learn what is currently in trial, plan to be and what will stay for sure in the next release.

Miscellaneous

• You will not do it later (most likely) - I'm a procrastinator, I know (Keff) - So true! The do-it-now approach seems too simplistic to be true but is a real change to accomplish on a regular basis. Any tips?

  Amanda Silver on What’s Coming for Developers - Episode 151  - This is the summary of a podcast episode. It looks like gold! Already download it and it's next on my playlist.

• How to Calculate Azure Blob Container Size (Mark Heath) - Nice little code snippet.

• Top 6 tips for configuring a new Microsoft Azure environment ( Sonia Cuff) - This is stupid simple as they say and it will make a big difference further down the road. They are no reason to not do it.

Programming

• Looking inside ConfigurationManager in .NET 6: Exploring .NET Core 6 - Part 1 (Andrew Lock) - Such a nice integration, cleaner and more efficient.

• Dapr v1.4 is now available (Dapr project maintainers) - New updates on this loved library. This post also shares get-started resources.

• Schedule Your Tasks Like A Pro in Blazor Applications (Alan Sangeeth) - I love Syncfusion controls and each time is always hard. Nice post.

• Andrew Connell's Blog (Andrew Connell) - This nice post is the second of a series of three. It explains how to do every step but also why the author decided to do that.

Programming

• A Start-To-Finish Guide to Docker for .NET (Daniel Hilgarth) - This is a great docker introduction, yes focusing on .Net usage... But still really good for all.
• Highlights from Git 2.23 ( Taylor Blau) - This was the first time I notice an update of git... It is very intriguing to see such a powerful tool evolving and see some experimental feature. It's a long post, but totally worth it.
• Why you should think twice about contributing to Open Source (Rafiullah Hamedy) - Contributing to an opensource project is both frightening and rewarding. Nice post that could help you to start in a better position.

Miscellaneous

• How to Setup an Ubuntu Linux VM in Azure with Remote Desktop (RDP) Access (Chris Pietschmann) - This post is a nice walkthrough to set-up our own VM.

• .NET Rocks! vNext (Carl and Richard, John Papa) - How could you not try to do some node on Azure after listening to that episode?

• Writing a Blazor App (David Pine) - This tutorial shows how to build a simple blazor app...and it's NOT the hello-word or todo.

• Introducing Ghost 2.0 (John O'Nolan) - Woo that a big change! If you don't know Ghost already, it worth a try.
• Azure Block Blob Storage Backup (Hemant Kathuria) - A very cool tutorial that explains all steps to build a full incremental back-up between azure blob storages (in two different subscription)]
• How do you even know this crap? (Scott Hanselman) - An interesting post that successfully connects developers, dungeon & dragon, and poop~?
• OBS for Twitch (John Papa) - A quick post about the OBS that everybody is talking about.
• TPZ160: Bikepacking Iceland and Sri Lanka with George Maurer (Paul Schmid, George Maurer) - An incredible trip story.

• A technical overview of Azure Databricks - This new product/ feature looks very interesting... More to come.
• Improvements to Azure Functions in Visual Studio ( Justin Clareburt ) - Wow. Azure Functions may evolve quickly but the tools are following, and this is impressive. Check out all the features that would be included in the next version (currently accessible in preview).

Programming

• Azure DevOps Project – public preview (Gopinath Chigakkagari) - This new type of project looks awesome, looking forward to trying it.

Miscellaneous

• Why speed is the skill I’m most dedicated to improving (Alex Mathers) - An interesting post that talks about the balance between skills.
• 4 Realities of Blogging All Bloggers Need to Talk About (ep 214) (Darren Rowse) - Very good and encouraging talk about some daily facts in blogger's life.
• How to Create a Style Guide for Your Blog (and Why You Should) (ep: 216) (Darren Rowse) - Hmm. I thought I was consistent, and then I went backward in my archives.... Well things change in ten years.

• Application Insights: VSTS dashboard chart widget now available (Mike Gresley) - Woohoo! Finally, it's there. I'm going to add it to all my projects right now.
• Monitor Azure services and applications using Grafana (Ashwin Kamath) - I didn't know that tool, but now it's definitely under my radar.
• Azure Durable Functions: Making Serverless Last (Mary Branscombe) - A great post that introduces the durable function and explains where it fits in the integration offer.

Programming

• Creating a Minimal ASP.NET Core Windows Container (Jeffrey T. Fritz) - This is an amazing post that shows how to optimize our containers. It may be about Asp.Net Core but it applies to any containers. It also shows one of the big improvements with .Net Core...
• WebOptimizer - a Bundler and Minifier for ASP.NET Core (Scott Hanselman) - This post shares a nice little tool available for Asp.Net Core.
• Why Is It So Difficult To Get Started Writing Automated Tests? (Matthew Jones) - So many very good questions are asked in this post, but what are the answers?

• Automatic tuning will be a new default (Veljko Vasic) - An important post t read and share to avoid any panic in January.

Podcast

• EntreLeadership #231: Renée Mauborgne—Move Beyond Competing (EntreLeadership Team) - A great episode with a few tools that look very interesting... And of course, a book reference that you should add to you to read list.
• Dotnet Rocks - 1491 Building VSTS using VSTS with Dan Hellem and Rogan Ferguson (Carl Franklin, Richard Campbell) - Great show about VSTS... If you using or think of using the tool... That's for you.

Miscellaneous

• I Don’t Have Time is a Myth (Donn Felker) - I love it. We have so many opportunities; we just need to take them.
• The Main Challenges of Building Machine Learning Tech (Donn Felker) - Very interesting article about AI.
• Why I won't be switching to VSCode any time soon - A geek with a hat (Swizec Teller) - I was surprised when I saw the title of this post, how could you not like VsCode? However, after reading it, I understand. Through preferences are personal, VSCode does a lot and needs a bit more than few minutes to be tame. I got also overwhelmed when I started using it. The secret is the documentation... and sometimes. Then it becomes whatever you want.

• Introduction to Azure PowerShell Modules for the SQL Server DBA Part 4 (Edwin Sarmiento) - Of course, things could be created outside of the Azure portal. This last post of the series puts all the pieces together... and even gives us the full script.
  
• Mashup: SQL Server on Linux in Docker on a Mac with Visual Studio Code (Julie Lerman) - Cool post where Julia shares with us the results of her "database in a container" experience.

Miscellaneous

• Cloud Cover Show, Episode 110 - Windows Azure BizTalk Services - Great show with a demo done by no other one then Guru Venkataraman.
• Checking Azure Cloud Service SDK Version with PowerShell (Tyler Doerksen) - Nice and useful script.
• Azure VM Access Control with PowerShell (Tyler Doerksen) - Great with this post we now know all the new features that came up last week: powershell cmommand.

• ELMAH: Error Logging Modules and Handlers for ASP.NET (and MVC too!) (Scott Hanselman) - This post is not really recent, but really interesting. If you still don't ELMAH this post is for you.
• Making Computer Science Cool (Jonathan Rozenblit) - Really good resources post that gives place to get started based on our level of confort. It could also be use at home for our kids... I wonder if this kind of information is also available in other languages...
• TypeScript: Scaling Up JavaScript - Great video from TechEd, it was hard to wait until the end to start doing TypeScript...

• Azure does Powershell too (Grant Fritchey) - Nice quick introduction to Azure Sql PowerShell cmdlets.

• Walkthrough of New Windows Azure BizTalk Services - Again a great post/ tutorial from Seroter. This is THE place to start to know more about the Biztalk services (WABS)

• Are you secure? WiFi Honeypots, Pineapples and SSL with Troy Hunt - And I though a knew the danger of the WiFi. You must spend 30 minutes and listen this post... and re-share!
